Nursery Attendant

Part-time, non-exempt

 

General Responsibilities: The Nursery Attendant is responsible for following standard childcare practices to children ages Newborn - 5 years in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment during the worship service and other occasions. The Nursery Attendant will report to the Nursery Director.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children
  • Provide attentive care (feeding, diapering, playing)
  • Maintain a clean environment 
  • Follow age appropriate lesson plan
  • Contact parent/guardian of emergencies
  • Monitor supply inventory and notify Nursery Director when replenishment is needed

Schedule:

  • Sunday mornings, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Special occasions, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of and experience with the care required for children
  • Ability to lift and carry small children, as needed
  • Patience, compassion, and good communication skills
  • Must pass a background check and complete safe church training
  • An active Christian commitment to love of God and neighbor
